Privacy Notice
This notice explains what personal information SLS Transition Limited collects, why it is used and the choices you have about it.
Who is responsible for your information?
SLS Transition Limited is the data controller. It is registered in England and Wales under company number 07553577, with its registered office at Flat 17, Albany Works, Gunmakers Lane, London E3 5SB.
What information is collected?
Depending on how you interact with SLS Transition, this may include:
- your name, role, organisation and contact details;
- information you include in an email, LinkedIn message or other enquiry;
- correspondence and records connected with a potential or current engagement; and
- limited technical information processed by the website hosting service, such as IP address, browser type, requested pages and timestamps, for delivery, security and reliability.
The website does not currently ask visitors to create an account or submit information through an online contact form.
The website also uses Plausible Analytics to produce anonymous, aggregate information about website use, including pages viewed, referral sources, approximate country, device and browser categories, and interactions such as file downloads or outbound-link clicks. Plausible does not use cookies, persistent identifiers or cross-site tracking.
Why is it used?
Personal information may be used to:
- respond to enquiries and discuss potential work;
- prepare, deliver and manage consultancy engagements;
- maintain appropriate business, financial and contractual records;
- understand which website pages and content are useful and how visitors find the site;
- protect the website and business from misuse; and
- meet legal, regulatory or professional obligations.
The relevant lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations and legitimate interests in operating and protecting the consultancy. Where consent is required, it will be requested separately and can be withdrawn.
Who receives it?
Information is not sold. It may be shared only where necessary with trusted providers supporting website hosting, email, document storage, professional advice or business administration, or where disclosure is required by law. Providers are expected to protect the information and use it only for the agreed purpose.
Plausible Analytics processes anonymous, aggregate website-usage information on SLS Transition's behalf. Plausible is hosted in the European Union and does not use the information to identify visitors or build advertising profiles. More information is available in the Plausible data policy.
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards are used, such as a UK adequacy decision or approved contractual protections.
How long is it kept?
General enquiries are normally retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact. Records connected with client work, contracts, invoices and legal obligations may be retained for up to six years after an engagement ends, or longer where the law requires it. Information is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to its use. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis.
Contact SLS Transition first using the email above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office through ico.org.uk.
